We completed an Our Care Beyond Yours workshop with staff from the Nightingale Hall Residential Care Home for an insight into the care we provide beyond theirs.
The session was led by Will & Michelle two of our team of excellent & very well known Funeral Directors.
They covered all aspects of our funeral service: from bringing deceased into our care, specialist equipment, care and preparation of loved ones, embalming, products and services, as well as funeral administration, for example registering the death and whom to inform immediately following a death.
Wear Valley Crematorium at Coundon provided a private tour of their premises and gave an informative talk regarding the cremation process.
The aim of this session was to give the care home staff the confidence to answer potential questions that their residents may have about end of life and funeral wishes.
The day was really successful, and everyone found it really informative and enjoyable.
